Here’s a Who Charted light box. If you don’t already listen to this show, YOU SHOULD.

Here’s a look at the latest one. I’ll post some more pictures in a day or two.

"More Powerful Than Ever" Light Box for sale with 100% of proceeds to go to MaximumFun

You buy this thing. I give the money to MaximumFun. Any questions?

I made another podcast-themed light box. @WalkingTheRoom

This is my entry for the current #JJGO contest. That’s Jordan, Jesse, GO! for those of you not familiar with the program. It’s a delightful podcast with a contest where they are asking for submissions of artwork in any medium celebrating the theme “More powerful than ever: Going ape”. I know the show has many extremely talented listeners so I don’t hold much hope that I’ll win, but I thought I’d give it a shot.

I made a light box in honor of one of the most fun and manic podcasts out there.

I finished the light box dedicated to Comedy Bang! Bang!

I finished the Reggie Watts light box this evening. Here are some pictures. Sorry the photos are of low quality. I have no idea how to properly photograph a light. You’d think by now I’d have gotten the hang of it.

Tune in to the Pardcastathon at pardcast.com and you may catch a glimpse of the Jimmy Pardo light box I made in the background.

I finished a light box featuring Garfunkel and Oates today. It is pine finished with a natural colored stain and wipe-on polyurethane.

While not comedy related, the other two words in the title of the blog still apply so I’m posting some pictures anyway. This is a light box I made for some friends and delivered yesterday. A fireplace scene is what was requested, so that’s what I attempted to deliver. It’s the first time I’ve incorporated any color and I think it worked in this situation but I’m not sure it would work in many others.

I finished the light box dedicated to Jimmy Pardo and Never Not Funny. The last picture shows the brand I recently acquired to mark the inside of the boxes. The box is made of Red Oak with a Dark Walnut stain finished with wipe-on polyurethane.

Here’s a piece of glass I started painting this evening. It still needs a few more coats, but I like it so far. My goal is to have it completed before the Pardcastathon so I can offer it to them as a gift.

I finished this light box of Stop Podcasting Yourself this afternoon. I made one in honor of SPY because, in addition to being one of my favorite podcasts, I was inspired to sell my light boxes for charity because SPY co-host Graham Clark makes painting using his beard as a brush that he sells for charity. If you haven’t seen them, I strongly recommend taking a look: http://beardpaintings.com/

Paul F. Tompkins Light Box for sale to benefit 826LA.

C’mon folks. This is no laughing matter…
